Has anyone read this book? I got it last week and read it, it has some great photos in there and quite a bit of information on Disney's "mountain" attractions from Disneyland's matterhorn to Blizzard Beach's Mt. Gushmore. It even has stories on attractions that were never built, at least not yet. It goes into most detail on the larger attractions, esp space mountain and big thunder. Check it out if you havent, its a good read! |

I got it on my last trip to WDW, and I agree! It is a wonderful book, with very detailed pictures. Can you pictures Space Mountain with dummy riders going around the top? |

Looove this book. Also check out John Hench's, "Designing Disney" -- the writing is a little more technical, but VERY informative. |

I just finished reading this, it had sat around for a week while I was busy at work, but it was well worth the wait.
As someone who's read most of the books in print in regards to WDI, this is a keeper, right up there with the Imagineering coffee table book.
I felt Mt. Prometheus really got short changed though, I feel it could have easily occupied 5 or so pages, if not a full section of its own.
But the new concept art more than makes up for it, and I also appreciated what seems to be much more candor then the other imagineering books I've read, finally a book that skews away from the general public a little.
I especially enjoyed the Matterhorn section, reading about the imagineers figuringit out for the first time. Wish I was around when the skyway went through there, looks like it may have been cool. _________________ Jason Read
