Hi everyone.

Since I'm new to the forum I thought I would formally introduce myself.

I'm Brad. I've been fascinated with rollercoaster design since the age of 11. This passion has evolved into themed attractions more than rollercoasters now, bringing park guests into an immersive environment.

This passion for theme parks has made me work hard for the past 11 years in order to get another step closer to that dream and I have recently graduated with a masters in civil engineering from Loughborough Uni in the UK.
I'm about to start a job as a graduate civil engineer with one of the UK's largest construction companies. However, my goal is to still try and land a job with a reputable theme park/attraction design company.

Although I have the civil engineering background, my passion lies within the conceptual design, branching blue sky ideas and modelling problems. I believe that having an engineering knowledge, should give me a better understanding of conceptual design possibilities.

I have a thorough understanding of AutoCAD, google sketchup and a bit on photoshop which I was pleasantly surprised to see as some of the essential tools listed under this site, which has boosted the confidence somewhat.

I would love to have any insight you peeps have on how I could possibly step foot in the theme park industry.

My ultimate goal would be on the concept designing board of companies such as the disney imagineers, universal, busch or Merlin.

Right I'm gonna shut up now. I look forward to chatting to some of you.

Btw, shout out to Joey for introducing me to the site. This site has some real inspiring stuff in it!

Cheers
Brad

Congrats on all you've done so far. You are definitely on the right track. That "real world" experience is what will get you into themed usage of it.

Welcome
