The article on trolley parks was great. I hadn't heard of them specifically, before. They remind me of what Milton Hershey did for his employees - starting with a park and recreation area for their down time, later adding a zoo, pool... that became today's Hershey theme park.
All of the articles that have been getting added to the main site have been great!

Glad you like them. I've been meaning to do these things for a long time and I am finally getting the chance.

I love the articles Nate. I have been to Lakemont Park many times and the kids always have fun. They have what they is the oldest roller coaster in the US called "Leap the Dips". The kids and I ride it several times when we go. The operators have to hand push you over to the incline that takes you to the top. The only unoriginal thing I can see on it is at the incline. They changed to a newer chain and motor system to pull the car up. The best days to go is Wednesday. That is dollar day. For 1 dollar you can get in and ride all the rides. For 2 dollars you get access to their water park area. It makes for a lot of fun if your on a budget and you can take your cooler into the park and use their pavillions. |
