Do any of you know any good resources, websites or traditional paper books, on how to write ďsafeĒ code.

Iím looking for generally accepted practices, architecture, and fault/safing schemes used for ride control systems.

Thank you for the contact Nate.

It's been awhile since Iíve been on these boards, Iím glad to see that they are still thriving.

Iíve learned a lot from you and the other virtual mentors out there dating way back to Eddie and Dan. Thank you for keeping the dream alive.

Yeah, I wish someone would get ahold of Dan. He had great stuff to say and those idiots who ran the other message boards lost all his postings. I'd love to revisit it!!

You don't say which region you are from but if in Europe, uou could try writing to the Centre for Software Reliability (at City University) in London for more general information about 'safe' code. Some of the academics in that faculty have been involved in major saftey critical systems (albiet not amusement ride related). Prof. Lorenzo Strigini in particular has had involvement with the 'industrial systems'.

It would be nice to know how your project/researches go, as I was not aware of much work being done in the area of ride control systems outside of the corporate sphere which understandably stays tight lipped
about such work.
