I read about a toy called Pal Mickey. While inside the parks at WDW, he tells you trivia, when certain lines are short, parade times, where characters are, sings, plays games, and tells jokes!! He has an infrared sensor built into his nose, and while in the parks, he knows where he is and where he's been so he doesn't repeat himself. He's about $65, but it's supposed to be well worth it.

I looked at those when we were at Disney in October. They were really neat and to see kids playing with them was cool. It is a good idea someone came up with. I wanted to get one for my kids but just didn't have the extra funds budgeted for it.

New Post pal mickey I got one during my visit in 2003.

It was a bit of fun, told lame jokes, some interesting historical and trivial facts and had a couple of games.

The really nice touch I thought was that as we were approaching Space Mountain, Mickey piped up and said (roughly) "Space Mountain huh? That's a bit too scary for me. If you're small like me and don't like scary rides, maybe we should go on the Buzz Lightyear ride just behind us..."

It's good that it reminds the user about the height restrictions or scare factor, but the great bit is that it recommends another attraction as a replacement, not just "I wouldn't do that if I were you..."

New Post Re: Pal Mickey Well, right now I'm dealing with the potent combination of summer vacation and a month to a trip to WDW. I have the trip planned out to the littlest detail. I think I'm driving my family insane!
