My story
Since I was a kid, I wanted to be an Imagineer. When I was 10, I even drafted an attraction concept and mailed it to Tony Baxter, who graciously replied with the typical "we can't accept ideas" but it was on WDI letterhead and signed by Tony. It was something I treasured for years. So I wound up getting two degrees in architecture, alongside which I took a keen interest in theatrical design, particularly lighting design, so my early career focused on architectural lighting. I moved to product development in LED lighting, then to special projects and corporate venturing at Philips. Lately I've been helping startups launch challenging new products and projects, including a startup that developed LBE/FEC franchises for National Geographic and Dreamworks; a retail media network; and now a Hollywood-based company with deep roots in virtual production technologies.
But I still want to be an Imagineer...someday!
