I began as a filmmaker and graphic designer, more or less, at the age of 15, then moved into video and sound, which then rolled into interactive multimedia and eventually heading my own digital media studio, Top Dog Studios for a number of years. That led to website work, and next thing I know I was labeled and working as a UX Designer. That eventually led to me quitting UX, starting a small prop company called “Hotrods&Robots”, which led to work in a museum, and then finally at Storyland Studios. In school I studied filmmaking, photography, graphic design, broadcast, computer science, and creative writing, and then moved onto architecture, industrial design, drafting and technical illustration.
My childhood heroes were (and still are) Walt Disney, Jim Henson, and Meadowlark Lemon (as a kid I wanted to be on the Harlem Globetrotters). Today I work, more or less, in themed entertainment after chasing this career path most of my life. I’m happily married to a wonderful gal for 31 years now, and have an amazingly creative daughter and son.
