About Me
I am currently a junior and president of the Themed Entertainment Engineering and Design Club at IUPUI. I will be participating in the Fall 2022 Disney College Program while also continuing my journey as a themed entertainment design and communications student. I am a huge Disney lover and an Imagineer at heart but I love all things themed parks and getting to learn the history behind them, and hopefully become a member of the industry someday.
My story
Ever since I was 4 years old I knew I wanted to work for the Disney company, and I have always been drawn to the history behind the company and all things theme parks. I always wondered why themed experiences are given the themes that they have and it led me to where I am now. I have changed majors 7 times in college because I couldn't quite figure out what pathway was best for me and how I would pursue my love for themed entertainment but when I found IUPUI's certificate program it was like love at first sight and I chose to pursue that as well as continue my first-degree path in communications to give the best of both worlds. I am doing the Disney college as my first step to really getting involved with the Disney company and the ultimate goal is to use the skills I learn from my program and transfer them into a future themed entertainment career whether that be with the Disney company still or another themed entertainment opportunity. Overall, I just hope to continue learning skills, technicalities, and history behind attractions and how theme parks/experiences are really brought to life, and eventually gain a position in the future to where I get the opportunity to apply everything that I have learned.
