My name is Monse and I’m an architectural designer by trade and a storyteller by heart. I’m very passionate, curious, and driven by a desire to tell new, exciting and memorable stories through my designs.
I’m originally from Mexico city and I'm currently an MFA in Themed Entertainment Design candidate at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
My multicultural background combined with my architectural education and experiences in the themed entertainment industry, give me a unique and holistic design process.
I knew I wanted to have a career in themed entertainment since I was about 9 years old on a trip to Disney World. It was the first time I realized that something that I had only seen in two dimensions in films or picture books was transformed into something that I could experience myself. Every attraction, restaurant or resort was giving me an opportunity to visit all types of lands and to take part in their stories.

Ever since that moment, everywhere I went I would pay more attention to details and how every single element altered the perspective of the overall space. From the shape of the windows and the color of the walls to the decorations in the railings and the materials for flooring, everything is part of the story.
