The Industry Leaders IAAPA Expo Tour
The Industry Leaders IAAPA Expo Tour provides students within higher education the unique opportunity to interact with industry and leaders professionals in the global attractions industry at IAAPA. As an educator you have the opportunity to nominate your best and brightest to join us on this exclusive opportunity. The purpose of this tour is to provide these students with the opportunity to put their best foot forward as they network and connect with leaders from across the industry.
In just one hour, students walk the show floor alongside industry leader that have shaped the global attractions industry. Past participants include Chris Herschend (Chair, Herschend Entertainment, Matt Eckert (President, Holiday World, and Jim Pattison (President, Ripleys Entertainment). Students will participate in engaging in conversation, asking questions, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the stories and decisions that have shaped the attractions industry.
We typically can accommodate no more than 30 students in total and will be reaching out to approximately 6-7 universities thus consider bringing forward only your best students.
In order to nominate your students for the tour please review the below criteria for student selection. You will also complete this template and upload the template.
Criteria For Student Selection
- Students must be in engaged and active in a program focused on an aspect of the Themed Entertainment and Attractions industry (hospitality, design, engineering, media, project management, etc.)
- Students must be prepared to interact with leaders in the industry including appropriate dress
- Students must be in good standing in their program
- Students must show up on time for their designated slot (once assigned)
- Students must also complete the post-tour evaluation which will be sent after IAAPA
- We ask that you nominate your best students who come ready to engage!
- Students must be nominated by a faculty sponsor!
