Overview
Beyond the Hundred Acre Wood is a project I did for my Component Design course at SCAD. I have always had this fascination with traveling circuses. It is incredible how an empty parking lot one day, can suddenly turn into an extraordinary spectacle when night falls. Therefore, I wanted to create my own version of a traveling circus but have it include elements of one of my favorite IPs, Winnie the Pooh. I decided to put a bit of a twist in Pooh Bear and friend’s story, however, it still encompasses the importance of love, friendship, adventure, and finding your way through the darkness.
Components
I created four stand-alone components for my traveling circus: Rumbly Tumbly Funnel Cake Cart, Stuff & Fluff Merchandise Cart, Ooey Gooey Performance Stages, and Hunny Lamps. Each of these components have a story and went through a handful of iterations before becoming what they are today. (More information on each component in the Creative Guide below)
CREATIVE GUIDE
The following slides show my concept back story, theme, and how all my components fit into this world that I have created (with the help of Pooh Bear, of course).
