The winning submission, Portal Riders, was announced at the Storyland Studios’ IAAPA Expo booth in a live event in Orlando, Florida, on 20th November, where Richard and Amy were presented with a cheque for $25,000.
Sean Featonby – Storyland Studios, claims the scheme was “a beautifully put together dark water ride concept that nailed both the strategic and design portions of the brief.”
The pair were flown to Orlando to present their concept at the IAAPA Expo 2024 and will collaborate with Storyland Studios to develop their proposal into a marketable product for the LBE sector.
“Designing a new immersive experience and ride for Storyland Studios took us on an incredible journey,” says Richard and Amy Hale. “What made it even more amazing was receiving feedback from some of the top professionals in the attractions industry, who then confirmed that we had done it right!”
